The Sims series has grown over these past 17 years to become one of the most well-known PC games of all time, and it's no wonder why it holds the distinguished honor of being one of the most played games ever. The fact that this allows any player to basically become a god from the comfort of their living rooms is impressive enough as it is, but the sheer amount of freedom that a player is afforded in these games is nothing to scoff at. Each playthrough that a player initiates with multiple families will be different in their small ways and contributes to the uniqueness of the game in more ways than one. The latest iteration of the series received some flak from fans during the initial months after its release, and rightfully so. However, Maxis did redeem themselves by including all the missing content through patches, and as of right now, The Sims 4 is shaping up to be one of the most entertaining experiences of 2017. However, for a game that's supposedly geared towards teens, there are a number of disturbing elements present in this game that warrant a closer look. These unsettling elements are quite a surprising inclusion, and one must wonder exactly what was going on behind the closed doors at Maxis when they chose to add these to the game in the first place. Let's take a look at 25 of the most unsettling facts about The Sims 4.

25 Freakin' Demon Babies
The Sims 4 has its fair share of glitches and bugs that have been prevalent across almost all of the major titles in the series. While some of these mistakes are minor in nature, there are others that absolutely can't be overlooked. Perhaps one of the most infamous glitches has to be the horrific deformations that your newborn can potentially be inflicted with.
I mean, there's nothing more horrific than waiting with bated breath for the newest addition to a family that you've devoted a lot of time to.. only to be completely disgusted at the abomination that your Sim produces. Perhaps the worst part about this whole debacle is that the mother will coddle and play with the child, as if everything is normal, when it's obviously not.
24 Aliens Kidnap And Impregnate Men
There are a number of supernatural elements present in The Sims, and for a game that is meant to emulate day-to-day life in the most realistic manner possible, it's quite surprising how well these instances fit into the overall gameplay. One such happening that can be somewhat jarring during your playthrough has to be when your Sim becomes the victim of an alien abduction.
While female Sims come back with just a few needs displaced here and there, male Sims are affected in a completely different manner. You'll undoubtedly be the victim of a rather jarring surprise when it turns out that your male Sim comes back pregnant! It's a rather weird occurrence and — interestingly enough — is the only way to get your male Sim pregnant through legitimate means.

23 Date Family Members .. Gross
Oh dear, we're going there now.
The Sims is pretty well-known for the emulation of relationships, which functions as one of the biggest gameplay draws. After all, a major chunk of The Sims involves the expansion of dynasties, which is just not possible without the formation of long-lasting relationships. However, after playing the game for a while, a person can actually initiate relationships that can be rather taboo in nature.
After a while, the game simply can't keep track of the branching family trees. This means that individuals can actually initiate romantic relations with distant relatives, which is pretty queasy. Of course, if you're really messed up in the head then you can download a mod that lets you initiate these questionable relations from the get-go.
Speaking of family..
22 Dismantling A Happy Family Is Pretty Easy
Keeping your family happy and content is one of the main goals of The Sims. Of course, we're not saying that it's completely mandatory, but it must be said that there's little to no incentive for completely wrecking a household from the inside-out. However, a player who doesn't really care when it comes to human life can truly destroy the lives of these poor Sims.
The obvious way to do so is to completely ignore the needs of these Sims until they slowly die off one-by-one. However, people can actually get a bit creative when it comes to this methodical destruction of a family. For instance, you can convince another Sim to break it off with their SO, and completely ruin the family in the process — just because you can.
Although it doesn't really matter, since if you convince Sims to break it off..

21 Kids Don't React Like They Should To A Divorce
Divorce is one of the most traumatic moments that any family can go through, and the effect such an action can have on kids is truly monumental. For an extended period of time, children will be privy to what can only be described as ugly scenes between their mother and father, which is not something that any kid wishes to see, for obvious reasons.
However, when it comes to The Sims, for some reason the children of your Sims will react as though everything is fine when their parents permanently split up. This is obviously not a normal reaction at all, and one must wonder how a temporary 'sad' moodlet is enough to to justify a Sim's reaction to their parents splitting up.
20 The Game Questions Your Motives If You End Too Many Sims
Before we go on about this particular entry, we hope you already know about the fact that The Sims is a life simulation (emphasis on life). It's a game that enables gamers to help their Sims live their lives out in peace, and — unless you happen to be a total psycho — it's generally a great gameplay loop that always manages to keep things fresh, for the most part.
However, if your psychotic nature can't be controlled, then feel free to kill as many Sims as you want. Just keep in mind that the game will quickly get tired of your antics and send a message that sarcastically points out the fact that The Sims is actually a life simulation, not a stage for enacting the most creative deaths.
Of course, it's not like the game prioritizes self-preservation anyway, which can be seen when..

19 Sims Will Ignore The Cries Of A Kid If They're In The Middle Of Something
Taking care of your kids is one of the most important aspects of The Sims, and one might rightfully think that the game prioritizes babies above anything else, which should definitely be the case. However, if you've been paying attention, then you know that this couldn't be furthest from the truth.
We say this because it turns out that Sims will completely ignore the cries of a child, no matter how loud the kid might. It's just completely messed up, and if you happen to leave your Sims alone while you go do something else, then you might just come back to Social Security Services taking your kid away — and rightfully so, since your Sims was too busy playing video games.
18 Sims 4 Is Based In A Different Timeline, But The Goth Family Is Still There
At a glance, it might seem like The Sims doesn't really have a story. However, a closer look will reveal that this is definitely not the case. We say this because there are a number of tales revolving around most of the families in The Sims, and veterans would definitely know about the weird nature of the Goth family — especially Bella Goth herself.
What's odd about this family is their very existence in The Sims 4. After all, it's common knowledge that the fourth iteration of the series is set in a completely different timeline. And yet, for some indiscernible reason, it turns out that the Goth family is present in The Sims 4 as well.
Just what is the true nature of this mysterious household? It's a question that might never get a definite answer.

17 The Modding Community Is Messed Up In The Head
As is the case with most PC games, the modding scene of The Sims is absolutely brilliant. Pretty much anything and everything that you can think about can be found on the internet to add that special touch to your copy of The Sims. However, keep in mind that you don't dive too deep.. because there won't be a turning point after a while. If you're wondering why we're saying this, just keep reading.
There's a mod that lets you barbeque your infants and serve a piping hot plate of human baby to your guests. Think that's it? You can also find a mod that straight up turns The Sims into what can only be described as a messed-up deviant fantasy that is just too sick to be put into words.
People are weird.
16 A Cow Plant That Will Straight Up Eat Your Sims
As we've already mentioned before, The Sims is a life simulation, and — unfortunately — death is an integral part of life that no one wants to admit. However, what might surprise most people is the creative ways in which your Sim can actually perish. One such manner of death has to be through the Cow Plant (officially named the Laganaphyllis simnovorii) present in the game.
The benefits of the Cow Plant are admittedly quite impressive — by nurturing the plant and feeding it at regular intervals, you can actually be rewarded with an elixir that actually mitigates the effect of aging. However, if you become negligent when it comes to the act of feeding your plant, then the Cow Plant will extract its revenge.. by straight up eating your Sim whole.

15 Game Starts Removing Sims After Reaching A Limit — Including The Ones You Formed Relationships With
One of the major draws of The Sims has to be the fact that one can interact with a wide variety of individuals, each of whom has their own traits, abilities, likes, and dislikes. This sheer level of variety is what adds to the spice of The Sims in more ways than one, and has attracted more than its fair share of gamers towards the product as a whole.
Unfortunately, for some reason, The Sims 4 has a system set in place, which has been unofficially labeled as 'culling.' Basically, after a neighborhood crosses 180 Sims, the game will start removing Sims at random. This includes Sims that people in your household have formed relationships with, which is pretty disturbing.
14 Make Your Sim Think About Nothing But Grilled Cheese
Food might be a priority, but it's quite unhealthy when all a person can think about is what they are going to eat.. especially after they've already eaten something. A mentality of this sort can be instilled in your Sims by providing them with a Grilled Cheese aspiration. This might sound hilarious at a first glance, but in the long run, the implications of this can be downright disturbing.
Think of it like this — after bestowing this aspiration on your Sims, the only they'll be thinking about throughout their life is grilled cheese. From making, to eating, to talking, to even painting grilled cheese — your Sim will simply adopt grilled cheese as a way of life, which is just so unhealthy (from both a physical and mental standpoint) when one takes a closer look at the implications of something like this.

13 Mysterious Eyes And Laughter Near Some Bushes In The Sylvan Glade
The Sims 4 has a number of secret locations that can be revealed by following a bunch of intricate steps. One such area is the Sylvan Glade, which is a beautiful area that will certainly be a joy to behold once you manage to unlock it. This area can be found in Willow Creek, and unlike most of the most secret areas, this can be unlocked without having to achieve any pre-requisites beforehand.
However, the beauty of this area actually hides a rather disturbing sight that can be somewhat hard to forget once you happen to notice it. At the corner of this glade near some bushes, one can actually find a pair of sinister eyes looking around, which is accompanied by some creepy laughter.
Speaking of secret areas..
12 Visit An Unknown Alien Planet
The Sims 4: Get To Work expansion adds a bunch of content to The Sims, and one of the major additions has to be the inclusion of a new planet that Sims who have followed the scientist or the rocket science career can unlock. The planet is cleverly named Sixam, which — in case you weren't able to figure out — is a reverse of the developer's name itself.
The planet has its own ecosystem going on, and Sims who choose to visit this alternate landscape can collect a bunch of objects that are unique to this world only. The existence of this alternate world full of aliens is certainly not something to be taken lightly, and one can only wonder if this is when the Sims who are abducted get experimented on.

11 Your Sim Can Become A Supervillian
Like the recent trend of comic book movies but aren't really sold on the heroes? Well, The Sims has a solution for you!
It's somewhat comical that The Sims has a criminal career path that one can apply for through a newspaper ad or a phone call, no less. It makes no sense, and is certainly a bit weird, to say the least. However, the game happens to go a bit extra when it comes to another career.
One of the career paths that your Sim can take is the Secret Agent career. While it might sound rather noble at a first glance, later on in your career you can choose to take the path of a villain. Progressing down this path will lead your Sim to reach the top level as a supervillain, and unleash terror the likes of which you can only dream of.
10 Banish Lingering Spirits To The Netherworld, Erasing Them From Existence Forever
We've already talked about the various supernatural elements present in The Sims. Before it was aliens, and in this entry, we're going to talk about ghosts. While their presence might be a nuisance on, after befriending them these entities can actually become an integral part of your Sim's lives.
However, if you don't want to interact with anything even remotely supernatural, then you can always choose to banish the spirit to the netherworld. Keep in mind that this action means that you will never see this Sim in any capacity ever again. Aside from a small mark in your family tree, this Sim has simply disappeared off the face of the earth, for good.
And since we're on the topic of supernatural stuff..
9 Have A Baby With Supernatural Entities
A common theme across most of the games in The Sims has to be the element of procreation between humans and non-humans. While the exact science of how such a thing can even happen is up for debate, the fact of the matter is that there are a number of ways in which your normal Sim can woo and have a baby with a supernatural being.
This particular function might appear to be missing in The Sims 4, but that's not the case. You just need to perform some steps that aren't necessarily complicated, and by following these instructions you will be able to give birth to a ghost baby in no time at all.
Keep in mind that your offspring might experience a haunting of their own.
8 Your Children Can Find Monsters Under The Bed
If your child is looking for a good night's sleep, then they might be completely out of luck. We say this because there is a possibility of your Sim not being able to sleep due to a rather peculiar haunting that incorporates in the form of a popular tale we know all too well. However, it's the sheer manner in which it's portrayed which warrants its place on the list.
While your child Sim is just trying to get a good night's sleep, they'll be the victim of a pretty rude awakening when a bunch of monsters will come under the bed, preventing them from completing their rest. The fact that these monsters have incredibly creepy eyes just contributes to the eerie factor of this random occurrence.

7 The Implications Of The In-Game 'Sims Forever' Is Nothing To Scoff At
It's quite funny that you are able to make your Sims play a video game.. while you yourself are playing a video game. One might think whether there's a whole chain reaction thing going on that they don't know about. Anyway, that's not the point. What we're trying to say is that there's a game called 'Sims Forever' in The Sims, which is pretty weird.
Is this a way for Maxis to pass on a subliminal message telling the players to never stop playing The Sims 4? After all, the series is known for being insanely addictive, so it would certainly make sense if it turned out that Maxis was trying to get more people to play the game for extended periods of time all along.
6 Sims Move Around Constantly While Eating.. Even If They're About To Starve
One of the major problems that plagues The Sims 4 involves the constant movement that Sims do to talk at the dinner table while they're eating their food. Why can't they just talk across the dinner table like normal people? After all, there's no need to physically move seats just to initiate a conversation.
This annoying phenomenon has been labeled as the 'musical chairs' effect, which is rather irritating, to say the least. The worst part about this entire ordeal is that your Sim will constantly move around — even if they're on the verge of starvation. We're pretty sure that self-preservation is more important than keeping up on all the latest neighborhood gossip.

5 Watch Your Vampire Sims Burn Alive Under The Sun
The addition of vampires in The Sims 4 is pretty neat, and is a great way to freshen up the normal gameplay loop that one might understandably be exhausted by. However, keep in mind that while there are a bunch of cool powers and abilities that are bestowed upon your Sim once the vampirism process is complete, one specific weakness will be the tradeoff for getting all these abilities.
It should be fairly clear to you by now that we're actually talking about the weakness to sunlight. So, make sure that you vampire Sim is not in a situation where he or she can be exposed to sunlight, since the consequences can be pretty drastic. And trust us when we tell you that watching your Sim burn alive is not the most pleasant thing one can witness.
4 Your Sim Can Literally Get Embarrassed To Death
Deaths are meant to be an incredibly sad event, but in The Sims 4, there are so many goofy deaths that one can't help but laugh at the sad fate of their Sims.. before feeling horrible for laughing in the first place.
One such death has to be when your Sim literally gets embarrassed to death. It's certainly weird, and while one might be curious to find out how this happens, the actual death itself can make a gamer feel kinda terrible for initiating such a heartless action.
Basically, you need to put your Sims in the most humiliating situations possible over and over again in a short span of time. This includes actions like wetting themselves in front of people, which is certainly embarrassing for obvious reasons.
advertising
3 Your Sims Can Laugh So Hard That They'll Straight Up .. End
Since we're already on the topic of goofy deaths, let's talk about one that can actually be successful when it comes to eliciting a chuckle from the player.
The success rate of jokes in The Sims is pretty high, and will generally lead to the strengthening of a bond that players might be trying to create. However, keep in mind that cracking too many jokes can lead to an unfavorable — albeit hilarious — situation when the Sim who's laughing their head off will straight up die.
Yep, you read that right. It seems that some people can't take a joke — and we do mean that in a literal sense. It's admittedly quite hilarious when one looks at the face Sims make right when they're on the cusp of death, but that's pretty much the only positive one can associate with the situation.
2 The Heart Of Angry Sims Will Literally Explode
It's quite odd that both happiness and anger can lead to death. While the former might cause a death that's a bit hilarious to look at, the latter has some dire implications that can be a bit too dark — especially for a game like The Sims, which is meant to be marketed towards teens.
If you Sims manage to lose their cool too many times, then after a while they'll simply lose their marbles and perish. What's worse is that the cause of death is labeled as a cardiac explosion,' which — let's face it — is a less impactful and sad way to say heart attack.
But perhaps the weirdest death in The Sims has to be in the next entry.
advertising
1 WooHoo Old Sims To Death
Here we go.
There are a number of deaths preceding this entry, which are definitely a bit odd. But none of them even come close to the awkward nature of this death.
The act of WooHooing is certainly quite a taxing one, and old Sims who aren't as active as they used to be will definitely be under a fair amount of stress while performing this particular action. In fact, if your elder Sims are already too tired, to begin with, then a WooHoo can all but guarantee their death. It's admittedly a rather funny way to die, but it sucks that your Sim happens to die just as he's in the middle of experiencing this.
Trying to fulfill the conditions for all these deaths might lead to the occurrence of the next entry on this list.

Just getting started with The Sims 4? Here are 3 different pack types we recommend getting!
Are you just getting started with The Sims 4 thanks to the fact that it’s free-to-claim for the next 7 days? Do you want to expand The Sims 4 universe with official new content and features? You’ve come to the right place!
Before I begin, let me briefly explain the purpose of each pack for The Sims 4 and what they exactly do:
- An Expansion Pack is the biggest pack type out there that often features a brand new world, new clothing and objects, a whole lot of new features and interactions that usually have a much deeper affect on the entire gameplay. They cost $39.99
- A Game Pack brings almost the same things as an Expansion Pack – new items, sometimes a brand new world and extensive gameplay that’s usually tied into one strict theme. They cost $19.99
- A Stuff Pack is brings exactly what their title suggests – new stuff including CAS items, Build Items and a gameplay object or two that bring new interactions. They cost $9.99
Now that we’ve clarified to what each pack brings let’s get down to business as I give recommendations for each pack type!
Essential Expansion Pack – Seasons
The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack is one of those packs that could’ve been included into the base game but luckily aren’t – and that’s for a good reason. Seasons was under development for quite a while for obvious reasons – the team had to bring 4 different seasons for each world (including worlds introduced with other packs) as well as feature a complex calendar feature.
Each Season can get quite unpredictable and you never know what each day will bring. From extremely hot to extremely cold temperatures to storms and strong winds, The Sims 4 Seasons will keep your Sims on their toes checking the forecast every now and then. Of course that the weather won’t be going crazy 24/7 and you can expect enrichened vistas and gorgeous views quite often.
The Calendar is probably one of the biggest reasons that make The Sims 4 Seasons an essential pack. Not only does it give you the ability to create your own holiday from scratch with numerous activities and interactions but with the calendar you can also plan out the entire week (and month) of your Sim’s activities by planning events, checking out your Sims’ work / school schedule and holidays that are coming up.
If you don’t have The Sims 4 Seasons then you can’t go wrong by making this purchase.
Essential Game Pack – Parenthood
The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack is one of those rare packs in the entire Sims Franchise that make the entire gameplay a lot more difficult – which is a good thing. Toddlers, Kids and Teens with this pack will have the opportunity to work on 5 different Character Values that will shape their future and make their adult days more easy or difficult, depending on how well you’ve worked on their upbringing.
Still, your younger Sims are not the only ones that get new gameplay. Adults and Elders also get a whole lot of new meaningful interactions, as well as a new Parenting Skill that allows the parents to be more influental and controling over their children.
Parenthood is probably one of the most complex packs we’ve gotten in a long time and for a Game Pack that’s $19.99 it’s no wonder it’s the most popular Game Pack that there currently is right now.
Essential Stuff Pack – Laundry Day
The Sims 4 Laundry Day Stuff Pack sounds like the most boring pack you could possibly recommend to another person, but there’s a good reason why this pack was chosen, affected and brought together by The Sims Team and The Community together.
Yes, the only new gameplay you get with Laundry Day are a new washing and drying machine, as well as a washing bucket and a clothline for those who prefer a more rural lifestyle. Still, this pack has some of the finest community-picked objects and Create A Sim items that we’ve seen in the entire Stuff Pack lineup we have (thus far).
If you want to get these packs altogether I suggest you bundle up using Origin’s Build Your The Sims 4 Bundle Feature. Getting these packs in bundle will save you 30% off the total cost!
What do you think are the most essential packs for The Sims 4? Let us know in the comments below!

So far, the Vampires GP has been reasonable enough for me. Learning vampire stuff, not bad (though it seems it'll get tedious to do it for multiple Sims). The vampire powers and weaknesses seem like an interesting setup, borrowing inspiration from RPGs. The 'dark form' is a creative way to hide Vampires' 'true nature.'
Keep Vampires Away Sims 4 Trailer
I have some minor issues with the GP, like seeing a lot more vampires showing up than I expected to see in the world. Especially just wandering around in the middle of the day. (And that gives me an idea for an experiment that might be awful, but amusing. I'll get back to you on that.)
It is likely available in both 32 bit and 64 bit. It is the best software for students and professionals alike. MATLAB Torrent full software has updated new updates in it, and bugs are also fixed in this version. Download free matlab with crack.
But my one big issue? Vampires being able to just enter homes at will.
Yeah, yeah, they put in some way to supposedly stop it, kind of like the nightlight that may or may not stop Monsters Under the Bed. But it shouldn't be a thing to begin with. They supposedly took all kinds of inspiration from the Bram Stoker brand of vampires more than the Stephanie Meyer kind, and yet the whole idea of vampires not being able to enter without being invited in is just thrown out the window.
Pair it with the multitude of vamps, and it's a bigger problem. Four vampires congregated outside my Sims' home, and two of them decided they were bored outside and popped inside to start messing around. No blood sucked, but one did smash a daughter's dollhouse.
I had enough of people barging in with City Living. I'm not about to put up with it as a 'game feature.' I killed one of the vampires, but it seems the other was already leaving before I could kill him. I'm hoping someone makes a mod to block vampires soon, because I plan to remove from the game every vampire that does this. Even if it means ending the vampire population in town. I can't stand them just popping in, especially in multiples. They shouldn't be able to do that in the first place, regardless of the presence of garlic. (Especially as it involves going through walls, and I don't recall vampires ever being considered incorporeal, either.)
I might have had less of a reaction if just one came in, but having two at the same time and realizing it might have been more if I didn't have someone outside keeping the others busy makes me think this is going to happen way too often.
Others' opinions may vary, of course. But me, I'm going to hope for a mod, fast. (Or an option in MCCC.)
